The name of the person placing the order.
Buyer’s Email Address
Used to communicate with you about your order, including digital previews, corrections, shipping, and customer service.
Shipping Address
Used to fulfill and deliver your personalized book.
Child’s Name and Age
Used to personalize the story and illustrations.
Child’s Photograph
Used to create the personalized artwork for the book.
Dedication Information
Information you provide for inclusion in the book’s dedication.
We use this information only as reasonably necessary to create and fulfill your personalized order.
2. INFORMATION WE DO NOT RECEIVE DIRECTLY
Your purchase is processed through Shopify.
Unless our store configuration changes, payment-card information and other payment credentials are processed by Shopify and/or its payment providers rather than being stored directly by ClassicTalesNMe.
Shopify may also collect information associated with operating its platform, including certain website, browser, device, cookie, payment, and transaction information. That information may remain within Shopify’s systems and is governed by Shopify’s applicable privacy practices.

4. HOW WE USE CHILDREN’S PHOTOGRAPHS
A child’s photograph is provided specifically so that we can create and fulfill a personalized children’s book.
We may use the photograph to:
- Review the photograph for suitability;
- Prepare the photograph for personalization;
- Create personalized artwork;
- Produce the personalized book;
- Prepare and provide the digital preview;
- Correct or resolve personalization or production problems; and
- Fulfill the order you purchased.
Our personalized-book service is designed for parents, guardians, family members, and other authorized adults purchasing books for children.
We ask that the person submitting a child’s photograph has the appropriate authority or permission to provide that photograph for the purpose of creating the personalized product.
5. WE DO NOT SELL CHILDREN’S PHOTOGRAPHS
We do not sell children’s photographs to advertisers, data brokers, or other companies for their own commercial purposes.
We do not operate a public gallery of customer-submitted children’s photographs, and we do not make those photographs publicly available as part of our normal business operations.
We will not use a child’s photograph for advertising or promotional purposes unless appropriate permission has been obtained.
6. SERVICE PROVIDERS
In order to create and deliver a personalized book, we may need to provide certain information to companies that perform services on our behalf.
Depending on our production process, these service providers may include:
- Book printing and production companies;
- Shipping and fulfillment providers;
- Image-processing or personalization providers;
- Cloud-storage or file-management providers; and
- Technology providers necessary to operate our personalized-book service.
These providers may receive information reasonably necessary to perform the service for which they are engaged.

7. PERSONALIZED IMAGE PROCESSING

8. SHIPPING INFORMATION
We use the buyer’s name and shipping address to arrange delivery of the personalized book.
Shipping information may be provided to the applicable printing, fulfillment, or shipping provider when necessary to complete delivery.
Once the order has been fulfilled, we do not use the shipping address for unrelated purposes.
9. INFORMATION RETENTION
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Create and fulfill your personalized order;

- Address personalization, production, or delivery issues;

Children’s Photographs
Because children’s photographs are particularly sensitive, we retain them only as long as reasonably necessary for the personalization and order-fulfillment process.
Our intended photograph retention period is 30 days after the order has been delivered.
After that period, the photograph is deleted from our active systems.
This period allows us time to address reasonable personalization, production, printing, or fulfillment issues that may arise after delivery.
Other Order Information
Other information associated with the order, including the buyer’s information, child’s name, shipping information, transaction records, or customer-service communications, may be retained for appropriate business-record, accounting, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes.
Your original policy likewise established a 30-day-after-delivery retention period for children’s photographs and distinguished that from other order-record retention.
10. DATA SECURITY
We take reasonable measures to protect information provided to us against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
Because children’s photographs are used in our personalized-book process, we take particular care to limit access to people and service providers who need the information to perform their responsibilities.
However, no electronic storage system or method of transmitting information over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Our store is designed for adults who purchase personalized books for children.
We do not intend for children to independently create accounts, place orders, or submit photographs or other personal information directly to us.
We ask parents, legal guardians, or other authorized adults to provide the child’s photograph and personalization information when ordering a book.
We do not knowingly request that children under 13 submit their own photographs or personal information directly to ClassicTalesNMe.
If you believe that a child has directly provided personal information to us without appropriate adult involvement, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.
