Meet the Founders of ClassicTalesNMe

A Story Born From Love, Family, and the Magic of Childhood

Behind ClassicTalesNMe are Valentin R. Castelo and Valerie C. Alexander, two people brought together by a shared love of family, creativity, and the joy of childhood.

Valentin, Co-founder, artist, inventor, and illustrator, has spent more than 30 years as an architectural renderer, developing a lifelong passion for art, detail, and imagination. His work has been admired by colleagues, employers, and clients throughout his career.

Now, as a grandfather of three and great-grandfather of two, Valentin has found a new way to share his artistic passion. Through ClassicTalesNMe, he creates beautiful illustrations designed to bring joy to children and create lasting memories for families.

Valerie, Co-founder and entrepreneur, came out of retirement with a feeling that she still had more to contribute. A grandmother of nine, she finds tremendous joy in spending time with her grandchildren, whose laughter, imagination, and sense of wonder continue to keep her young at heart. In fact, her grandchildren were the inspiration for ClassicTalesNMe.

As founders, Valentin and Valerie grew up with timeless stories that sparked their imaginations and became cherished childhood memories. They created ClassicTalesNMe to share that magic with today’s children and help ensure these classic, wholesome stories are not forgotten.

For parents and grandparents, the books offer a touch of nostalgia—the opportunity to share stories they once loved with the children they love today. And for the child, something even more magical happens: they become the star as they “Step Into the Story.”

That is the heart of ClassicTalesNMe.
